Who We Are
Allan Cunningham
Al has been with Haiti School Project for over 10 years. He has been to Haiti 2 times and was a supervisor on the Villard school and toilets. Al is a retired construction project manager. He has over 40 years of experience in residential and commercial construction, with 33 years as a superintendent and project manager. He is a graduate of Wayne State University with a BA in English Composition and was a 1st Lieutenant in the United States Marine Corps.

Natacha Cadet
Natacha has been with Haiti School Project for over 10 years assisting with translation, coordinating with other NGOs, managing our sanitation projects and the Shed-A-Light program. She was born and raised in Petion-Ville. Natacha has also studied hotel management; worked for MINUSTAH, managed restaurants, and worked in a children’s orphanage taking care of more than 35 children of all ages. Natacha loves working with people and most of all loves bringing smiles to others.

Joseph Mathurin
Joseph “Matt” Mathurin has been with Haiti School Project since the beginning in 2011. He is the liaison person between HSP and Haiti. Matt was born and raised in Port-au-Prince and has an extensive understanding of Haiti for having visited most of the country.
Matt has basic knowledge in medical science, has studied information technology, and possesses great writing skills. Matt is also a photographer and is an aspiring screenwriter.
He enjoys traveling, reading, music, movies, general logic, and an enjoyable conversation with down-to-earth people like himself. Matt believes you get from life nothing but what you deserve.

Tim Myers, Co-Founder, Board Member
Tim is a retired builder with over 40 years of construction experience as a carpenter, superintendent and project manager. He is a graduate of Ohio State University with a BS in Soil Science and a US Navy veteran.
Tim lived in Haiti for almost 10 years from 2011 to 2021 as in-country director and has overseen all of our projects in Haiti, coordinated work with other NGO’s in Haiti, given numerous presentations about HSP, and been tour leader for our student groups visiting Haiti.

Hank Myers, Board Member
Hank was born and raised in Western Colorado. He is a graduate of Colorado School of Mines with a BS in Mechanical Engineering.
Hank is a former board member of Sovereign Threads, an NGO, supporting Bosnian women who survived the Srebrenica Genocide.
Hank visited Haiti in 2016. Giving back and education, has always been important to Hank, and he hopes to achieve both with HSP. Hank is also interested in using his engineering knowledge to help develop an efficient, affordable, and easily maintained source of electricity for rural areas in Haiti.

Erik Peterson, Board Member
Erik is from Washington and has a B.S. in Manufacturing Engineering from Washington State University. Erik first went to Haiti in 2008 and has since made 12 trips to the country with a number of different NGOs, and is a former board member of Clean Water for Haiti and the Milwaukee Kiwanis YMCA. Mission trips have been a regular part of his life since he was 15.
Erik’s passions are construction and youth development and been involved with Haiti School Project for over 5 years.
