Last weekend, when the temps were in the 90’s in NYC, my daughter
decided that it would be a good day for a lemonade stand. We’ve done
this before, and each time we pick a charity to share the profits,
(selling lemonade on the upper west side of Manhattan can be very
lucrative).
My daughter, Eliza, chose to share her profits this year
with “a school in Haiti.” The back story is that Eliza’s school last
year joined with All Hands Volunteers to help out a school in Leogane,
Haiti. While she did not go (she was 10), she was drawn to the cause
as I have made 2 visits to Haiti as a volunteer doctor since the
earthquake, with Project Medishare.
I found you by searching something like schools in Haiti and
donations. I read your story and it resonated with me as a goal of
Project Medishare is to empower Haitian physicians with the goal of
establishing quality and sustainable health care.
From Eliza’s father, Andrew.
